About Us
School Sport Partnerships (SSP's) are families of schools that come together to enhance sports opportunities for all young people. Tendring Coastal SSP is made up of Colne Community School (Sports College), six other secondary schools and 44 primary and 2 special schools clustered around the secondaries and the College.

The PESSCL strategy has evolved into the PE and Sport Strategy for Young People (PESSYP) which highlights a Five Hour Offer to all young people - see diagram below. Implicit is a commitment to partnership working and the we have shared agenda's with Tendring District Council, sportessex and the Primary Care Trust amongst others and have fostered good relations with local sports clubs, uniformed services, Nacro and other external organisations in order to deliver our 'More Active, More Often!' tag line.
We also work in a Tri Partnership with North West Essex and Colchester Blackwater SSP's in shared projects that include Leadership Conferences, Gifted and Talented Camps, SSCo networking, PLT Conferences and CPD opportunities for sports coaches and teachers
