Mud, Sweat and...
Over 150 pupils took part in the Partnership cross country event at Holland Haven Country Park recently. Milder weather meant lots of mud and puddles for year 3 to year 6 pupils to negotiate combined with a sea breeze to contend with. The course comprised a circuit of 900m for lower years and 1800m for years' 5 and 6. Peter Clark and Dennis Warner from Harwich Runners acted as hares and indeed were nearly caught by at Jenson (sic)-without his car!. Clacton Coastal Academy provided the marshals for the event and Simon Kedge from the Clacton Triathlon Club acted as Event Director.
Several competitors have been encouraged to join local athletic clubs including Colchester and Tendring Athletics Club (CATS)
There were some fantastic performances for the assembled parents to applaud and teams from Holland Park, Cann Hall and Millfields will represent the Partnership at the County SSP event in Southend on 3 March (see calendar for details)
